Please note  the personal Chapter 13 Bankruptcy of Jan Lewandoski, 5-02-01435, has now been converted to Chapter 7 and William G. Schwab has been appointed the Trustee.  No 341 Meeting date has yet been set.  Please note on April 18, 2003 the Court ordered that the Chapter 13 be converted within ten days to Chapter 7 or Chapter 13.  Copy of Opinion and Order. November 26, 2003

The building was auctioned off on November 22, 2003, for a high bid of $162,000.  Closing is expected in early 2004.  The Trustee has also filed suit against D.E.L. Entertainment and Daniel Lewandoski in the Jan Lewandoski bankruptcy  for a fraudulent conveyance.  No answer has yet been filed.

September 25,2003

The Court has entered an order to allow all three cases be jointly administered. This should reduce administrative costs.  Also the Trustee is in the process of settling claims dealing with the business real estate on North Church Street.  If the settlement goes through, the Trustee will sell the property in November for the benefit of creditors.

July 7, 2003

Including the May auction, the total earned through the various auctions, including eBay auctions, totaled $92,681.40.

February 3, 2003

The Feb. 1, 2003 raised approximately $18,000 for the estate.  Another auction will be set.

January 13, 2003

Another auction sale has been set for February 1, 2003 at the Elks in Hazleton beginning at 9 AM.

December 9, 2002

The Continued Sale of items at auction on November 30, 2002, grossed for the estate $25,138.

November 26, 2002

A limited number of Christmas items have been placed on eBay for sale. Links to many of the items.

October 23, 2002

A continued sale of the physical assets of the above estates have been scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 9AM at the Elk's Building, East Broad Street, Hazleton, PA (Across from Hazleton General Hospital).

September  20, 2002

The first public sale on inventory of the companies was held today in Hazleton.   Approximately one-fifth of the inventory was sold grossing over $23,700.   Continued sales will be announced as scheduled.

September 18, 2002

A public sale of certain items and jewelry of Jan Lewan Show Gifts and JRD Productions will be held at the store on North Church Street, Hazleton on September 21, 2002 beginning at 9AM.  It is not expected that all items will be sold on that date and later sale dates will be announced.  Certain selected higher priced items will be offered eBay's half.com and eBay websites a later dates.

 

August 2, 2002

The next court hearing on any matters will be on September 5, 2002 at 9:30 AM in Wilkes Barre.  At that time the Court will hear the Objections to the Trustee's Motion to have the cases jointly administered.  Also Objections to the Trustee's Motion for a Public Sale and Trustee's Motion to Sell Certain Assets via the eBay website will be heard. 

July 15, 2002 

The 341 Meeting for the above cases was held on July  10, 2002.  Because additional information is needed by the trustee, the meeting was continued generally.   The Trustee is still seeking to have the cases jointly administered since he believes that will be more economical for the Creditors.  The Trustee is also seeking permission to sell the inventory by both public auction and for those items that are appropriate through eBay.
