July 15, 2002- The Trustee has liquidated all assets. The only holdup to distribution is a case filed by the PA Attorney General's Office in an attempt to allow them determine how much certain creditors should get. The Trustee is opposing this, since he believes this will delay estate administration. This is not scheduled until late October.
March 26, 2002- The Trustee has liquidated most of the material assets of the corporation and has hired special counsel to take depositions of the principals to see if any monies were diverted to personal use. At the same time the Trustee the Trustee is reviewing proofs of claims in this case.
On another front the PA Attorney General has sought to allow the state court to determine restitution and damages for consumers. The Trustee is opposing this since the bankruptcy code already includes a special provision for consumers and such an effort would be duplicative.
October 30, 2001- The Trustee has completed his initial inspection of the premises, goods and inventory, along with the records. Those consumers that have deposits will be receiving in the next two weeks information concerning same in the mail at their last known address.
October 15, 2001- The above business filed for relief under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code. William G. Schwab has been appointed Interim Trustee. No 341 Meeting has yet been scheduled, but it is expected to be held the Second Wednesday in December at Hazleton City Hall, Council Chambers.
